As we draw near to Pentecost this year, what is it (or rather, who is it) that we are celebrating? People can often get really confused on the true identity and nature of the Holy Spirit. I want us to explore three things that I think we often forget about the Holy Spirit.

It is estimated that up to 95% of young people in the UK have never heard the gospel or have any religious standings. 95% seems like an insurmountable number, but we believe in a God that can do all things. Let's pull some courage and learn from the Bible to step out and be disciples where we find ourselves.

I don’t know if you’ve ever seen the BBC show: Call that Hard Work? but the basic idea is that three working professionals swap jobs for a while to get a glimpse into how difficult someone else’s role really is. (I remember one particularly funny episode featuring a window cleaner, a train supervisor and a children’s party entertainer!). Well yesterday, Tim and I got a little glimpse into each other’s roles as we did a job swap – he preached and I stepped into the bethel:kids world!

There would be many people who would say that like UK bank holidays and sunshine, faith and politics just don’t mix – but although the relationship may be tense at times, is separation really the only way forward?
